Tennessee State Fair Robot Rodeo VEX V5 Override™ (HS/MS): VEX V5 Robotics Competition, Presented by Volunteer State Robotics Foundation

Volunteer State Robotics Foundation invites you to join us for the first Tennessee Override™ tournament of the season at the 2026 Tennessee State Fair!

We look forward to an amazing competition and a fantastic start to Tennessee's season. Thousands of visitors to the fair will be able to witness the excitement of a live VEX V5 Robotics Competition™ up close and personal. This event will be an exhibition style tournament where YOU, your teams, and your robots are the exhibit. The competition space surrounding the fields is open to all visitors at the fair.

For those teams registered in TN, this event will qualify to the 2027 Tennessee State VEX Robotics® Championship. The exact number of spots and qualifying awards will be allocated later in the season.

Out-of-state teams are welcome to come join the fun, test their designs against some of the most competitive teams in the country, and experience the charm of Tennessee hospitality.

Please note: There is extremely limited seating. The competition will occur in an (often crowded) exhibition hall at the fair.

Teams that are registered by noon on August 5, 2026 will recieve free gate admission for coaches and each team member. All other spectators will need to pay gate admission to enter the fairgrounds.

Payment is due two weeks after a team is registered, or immediately, if after July 17, 2026. All teams not paid within two weeks of registration will be moved to the waitlist and may be added back in, IF there is room on the roster. If your registration payment process takes longer than two weeks, please reach out for an extension.
