VEX V5 Robotics Competition™ Override Robotics Tournament 2026–2027
Hosted at St Andrews International School Bangkok – High School Campus
Join us for another exciting season of VEX Robotics competition, innovation, and collaboration at St Andrews International School Bangkok. As an official Event Partner for 8 years in Thailand for VEX Robotics IQ and V5 competitions, we are proud to continue supporting the growth of robotics education and competitive STEM opportunities across the region.
This event is part of the official qualifying pathway to the Thailand National Championships, Signature Events, and the VEX Robotics World Championship under the Global Robotics & Science Foundation.
About the Event
The VEX V5RC Override Tournament provides teams with an exciting opportunity to develop their engineering, programming, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a supportive and professional competition environment.
This event will run as a blended qualification tournament for both Middle School and High School teams, with separate awards presented for Middle School and High School divisions, except for the Tournament Champions award.
The tournament has a maximum capacity of 30 teams.
This tournament is ideal for:
- Teams preparing for Thailand Nationals, Signature Events, and the VEX Robotics World Championship during the 2026–2027 season
- Registered teams looking to post official qualifying scores
- Local and international teams seeking valuable competition experience
- Teams wanting to test, refine, and improve their robot designs and strategies

Please note: Registration is only confirmed once both registration steps have been completed.
Step 2
Register your teams on ratevents.org - This is a required step in order to ensure that teams are invoiced from St Andrews and RAT Foundations for the November event.

Time Activity 07:00 AM Pit area and robot inspections open 07:30 AM Practice fields open (only for teams that have passed inspection – pink slip required) 08:30 AM Team check-in and inspection close 08:30 AM Opening Ceremony 09:00 AM Skills Challenge begins 09:00 AM Practice matches begin 10:00 AM Qualification matches begin 11:30 AM Lunch break – Competition fields closed (All staff, coaches, and students break until 11:45 AM) 12:15 PM Matches resume 03:00 PM Finals matches 04:30 PM Event concludes and awards presentationJudging Format
• All team interviews will be conducted in person during the event. • Teams should be prepared to meet with judges on-site. Engineering Notebooks • All Engineering Notebooks must be submitted digitally through events.vex.com - this must be 7 days before the event, we will not accept engineering notebooks after midnight on the 15th of November • This allows our judging panel sufficient time to review the materials ahead of the event. • Notebooks submitted after this deadline will not be assessed and will not be considered during the judging process.

Volunteer Volunteers Wanted! Welcome—and thank you for helping make this event a success! It takes many hands to run an event like this, and we truly appreciate your support. No experience is necessary —just bring your enthusiasm and team spirit. Volunteering is a great way to be involved in the action, meet new people, and contribute to a memorable event. Plus, it's a lot more fun than just watching from the sidelines! Feel free to sign up for multiple shifts or duties . Parents, family members, and friends of team participants make incredible volunteers, and your involvement makes a big difference. As a thank-you, all volunteers will receive free food and an event T-shirt! We're organizing volunteer sign-ups through the Google Form linked below. Emergency/Bad Weather Policy Teams are advised to monitor https://events.vex.com/ for any updates regarding weather-related or emergency cancellations. In the event of a cancellation or postponement , the tournament name on events.vex.com will be updated to reflect the change (e.g., " Cancelled " or " Postponed "). Additional information will also be sent directly to registered teams via email. Please note: • Registration fees will not be refunded in the event of a cancellation. • If the event is postponed, updated details, including the rescheduled date, will be provided via email.
