GVMS Robotics Mardi Gras Mayhem February 2027 PA State Qualifier: VEX V5 Robotics Competition, Middle School only

This event will use V5 Smart Field Controllers. Teams MUST associate their team number with their brain, and updated to the latest V5 firmware using VEXCode.

There will be judging for this event. Notebook judging will begin February 1, 2027. All other judging will be in-person at the event.

Every effort will be made to have multiple skills fields available for this event.

EACH PARTICIPATING TEAM MUST HAVE AN ACCOMPANYING RESPONSIBLE ADULT THAT IS PRESENT FOR THE DURATION OF THE EVENT PER RULE.

There will be a 100% unofficial, won't get you anything but bragging rights Spirit Award for this event. The theme is "Mardi Gras".

All teams participating in this event are expected to follow the Student Centered Policy - NO adult designed, built, or programmed robots. Teams found to be violating the student-centered policy will be submitted for review and the outcome of that review may impact ability to participate in future events.

This GVMS V5RC Qualifier is a middle school only event. Parking is available in front of Great Valley Middle School.

There will be a snack bar with pizza sold by the pie and by the slice available, along with beverages and snacks. Please, no outside food or drink unless dietary restrictions exist.

As a courtesy to the Event Partner, and to expedite registration on the day of the event, you are asked to make payment at the time of the event registration. Those teams not paid one week prior to the event will be moved to the wait list and risk not having a spot in the competition.

Teams canceling prior to the registration closure date and notifying the event administrator ([email protected]) via email by the registration closure date will receive a full refund minus $5. Registered teams that are a no-show for the event are still responsible for payment of event registration fees, and will be expected to pay event entry fees at the time of registration for any future events.

ALL out of state teams will be put on the waitlist until a week prior to the event to ensure that local (SE PA) teams have apportunities to sign up for this PA State Champs qualifier.
