Marist Brothers International School is proud to welcome teams from across Japan and the Asia-Pacific region to the MBIS VEX V5 Robotics Competition 2026.
Hosted in Kobe, this event brings together talented student engineers, programmers, designers, and innovators for an exciting day of competition, collaboration, and learning.
Competing in the 2026–2027 VEX V5 Robotics Competition™ game, Override™, teams will put months of planning, testing, and refinement into action. Throughout the tournament, students will compete in high-energy qualification matches, Robot Skills Challenges, and judged events that recognize excellence in engineering design, innovation, teamwork, and communication.
Beyond the competition field, the tournament is an opportunity for students to connect with fellow robotics enthusiasts, exchange ideas, and become part of a growing robotics community dedicated to inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders. Whether you are returning to competition or attending your first VEX tournament, you can expect a welcoming atmosphere, outstanding volunteers, and a professionally run qualifying event.

Student-Centered Philosophy
The VEX V5 Robotics Competition is built upon a Student-Centered philosophy established by the Global Robotics & Science Foundation (GRSF).
Students are expected to take primary responsibility for designing, building, programming, documenting, and operating their robots throughout the season.
Coaches, mentors, parents, and supporters play an important role by encouraging learning, asking questions, and providing guidance without directing or completing the work for students. All teams are expected to comply with the GRSF Student-Centered Policy. Failure to do so may affect award eligibility or other aspects of tournament participation.

Consent Forms
All participants—including students, coaches, mentors, parents, volunteers, and guests who require one—must complete the required GRSF Consent Form before participating in the tournament.
Participants under 18 years of age must have consent provided by a parent or legal guardian. Teams with incomplete or missing Consent Forms will not be permitted to compete until all requirements have been satisfied.
Official Competition Rules
All teams are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the current VEX V5 Robotics Competition™ Game Manual, including all official updates, rule changes, and Q&A rulings published by GRSF.
This qualifying tournament will be conducted in accordance with the latest official game rules and GRSF event policies. Teams are encouraged to review all updates before arriving to ensure a fair, safe, and enjoyable competition for everyone.

Marist Brothers International Schoolは、全国およびアジア太平洋地域のチームを「MBIS VEX V5 Robotics Competition 2026」へお迎えできることを大変嬉しく思います。
神戸で開催される本大会では、ロボット設計・プログラミング・エンジニアリングに取り組む生徒たちが集い、競技を通して学び、交流し、互いに刺激を受ける一日となります。
参加チームは、2026–2027シーズンゲーム「Override™」に挑みます。これまで積み重ねてきた設計・製作・プログラミング・改善の成果を発揮し、予選試合、Robot Skills Challenge、そしてジャッジ審査に臨みます。エンジニアリングデザイン、イノベーション、チームワーク、コミュニケーションなど、多様な観点から優れたチームが表彰されます。
競技だけでなく、本大会はロボティクスに興味を持つ仲間と交流し、新しいアイデアや経験を共有できる貴重な機会でもあります。初めてVEX大会へ参加するチームも、経験豊富なチームも、温かい雰囲気の中で充実した競技会をお楽しみいただけます。
関西地域におけるVEX Roboticsコミュニティの発展を目指し、日本国内はもちろん海外からのチームも歓迎します。皆様のご参加を心よりお待ちしております。

Student-Centered Philosophy
VEX V5 Robotics Competition™は、Global Robotics & Science Foundation (GRSF)が定める「Student-Centered（生徒主体）」の理念に基づいて運営されています。
ロボットの設計・製作・プログラミング・エンジニアリングノートブックの作成・競技中の操作は、生徒自身が主体となって行うことが求められます。
コーチ、保護者、メンターは、生徒の学びを支援し、助言や質問を通して成長を促す役割を担いますが、生徒に代わって作業を行うことはできません。すべてのチームはGRSF Student-Centered Policyを遵守する必要があり、違反が認められた場合は、各賞の対象外となるなど、大会運営上の措置が取られる場合があります。

大会へ参加するすべての方（生徒、コーチ、メンター、保護者、ボランティア、および必要となる来場者）は、事前にGRSF Consent Formを提出する必要があります。

By Train The nearest railway stations are: - Suma Station on the JR Kobe Line - Sanyo-Suma Station on the Sanyo Electric Railway Main Line JR Suma Station and Sanyo-Suma Station are located close to one another. From either station, teams may continue to Marist Brothers International School on foot. Judging Format
Judging Format The Engineering Notebook will be evaluated only on competition day. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link in the "My Account" panel of the team contact on events.vex.com . The submission deadline is Friday, November 20, 2026, 18:00 Japan Standard Time . After the submission deadline, the Judge Advisor will download the submitted Digital Engineering Notebooks for evaluation. Teams may continue to update their notebooks after the deadline; however, only the version downloaded by the Judge Advisor will be used for judging. Teams can participate in this event without an Engineering Notebook and still be interviewed, but the Team will not earn any top judged awards. For the most current award descriptions and judging criteria, please check the current rules. Late submissions or failure to submit the Engineering Notebook digitally will not be entertained. Please refer to the Refund Policy on Team withdrawal cases. Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. In case of an emergency, the situation will be posted on the homepage. Additionally, we will contact the teams through the information registered on their events.vex.com accounts, so please ensure that your team's contact information is up to date.
