General Info
Put the Lorain Titans VEX V5 Robotics Competition Qualifier on your schedule, January 30, 2027. This is our 11th year for this competitive tournament.
We will have two sponsored competition fields for middle school teams competing. There will be two skills fields and one practice field that is shared with the high school teams competing. We will be running a high school tournament simultaneously. There will be two separate judging teams.
If your team is closed out, please add your team to the waitlist. If there are any cancellations, we will add teams from the waitlist. The Event Partner will be in communication if added to the tournament.
Food Available
Concession Stand will be available to all attending our tournament: Concessions will be open 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.
Pizza, a cookie, and a drink will be provided to each participant. Coaches and volunteers: a hospitality room will be available.
Things to think of:

- Before your team arrives, have your robot ready to pass the inspection checklist. https://library.globalrobotics.org/hc/en-us/articles/51133553930388-VEX-V5-Inspection-Checklist
- All engineering notebooks will be collected when your team arrives at the welcoming table. Make sure you turn it in!
- Extension cords are needed to receive power for your team's needs; power will be available close by.
- Students must wear safety glasses while competing and when cutting or sawing their robots at any time. (Check your surroundings before cutting with a Dremel)
- Each team will have half an 8ft table for your pit area.
- Make sure teams are familiar with the Override official rules found in the GAME MANUAL
- Most importantly, be ready to compete, have fun, share experiences with teams from all over, and enjoy robotics.

Judging Format
Judging Format All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. Please turn in your Engineering Notebook when you arrive at the welcome table. All books must be received by the Event Meeting to be considered in judging awards. The judges will be following the rubrics and the judging guidelines established by Global Robotics and Science Foundation.
Volunteer

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy If there is a delay or cancellation due to inclement weather we will email or text or call the cell number provided in the registration by 5:30 am the morning of the tournament if not before.
