We are excited to welcome teams to our VEX Robotics Competition! This event will provide students with an opportunity to showcase their engineering, programming, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while competing with teams from across the area.
Teams should arrive on time and be prepared for check-in and robot inspection prior to the start of qualification matches. Please bring all necessary robots, controllers, batteries, chargers, tools, and other team equipment.
Coaches, team members, volunteers, and spectators are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and follow all VEX Robotics competition rules and event staff instructions throughout the day.
Additional event details, including the final schedule and any important updates, will be communicated to registered teams prior to the competition.

Travel Info
Date: 24-Oct-2026 Spain Park High School 4700 Jaguar Drive Birmingham, Alabama 35242 United States Travel Info Teams are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the event. Please plan to arrive with enough time for team check-in, robot inspection, and event setup before competition begins. Parking is available at the event venue. Teams should follow posted signs and event staff directions for parking, unloading robots, and entering the facility. Teams traveling from outside the local area are responsible for arranging their own lodging and meals. Additional information regarding parking, facility entrances, nearby hotels, and dining options may be provided to registered teams prior to the event.
Judging Format
Judging Format • The Team Interviews will occur in person on the day of the competition. Engineering Notebooks will be submitted remotely and judged prior to the day of the event.
Volunteer
Volunteer Volunteers are essential to making our VEX Robotics event a success! We welcome parents, teachers, students, community members, and industry professionals who would like to help support our teams and competitors. Volunteer opportunities may include event check-in, field reset, queuing, judging, scorekeeping, refereeing, concessions, and other event support roles. No prior robotics experience is required for many positions, and instructions or training will be provided as needed. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Event Partner for additional information. Thank you for helping us provide a positive and exciting competition experience for our students!
Emergency/Bad-Weather Policy
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy The safety of our teams, volunteers, and spectators is our highest priority. In the event of severe weather or another emergency, all participants should follow the directions of event staff and facility personnel. If severe weather or unsafe travel conditions require the event to be delayed, canceled, or rescheduled, registered teams will be notified as soon as possible through the contact information provided during registration. During the event, participants will follow the host facility’s emergency procedures for severe weather, fire, evacuation, shelter-in-place, or other emergencies. Please keep aisles and emergency exits clear at all times. Teams traveling to the event should use their best judgment regarding local road and weather conditions. No team should travel when conditions are considered unsafe.
