Welcome to the VEX V5 MS/HS Scrimmage : VEX V5 Middle and High School - Kowloon Central! Jointly presented by the Hong Kong Technology Education Association and T.W.G.Hs. Chang Ming Thien College, with generous support from the CEATE AWARDEE WORKSHOP(STEM) and the Hong Kong Joint School Technology Education Association, this event provides a dedicated, friendly practice platform for Middle School and High School teams across Hong Kong to test their designs, refine their code, and build match experience ahead of the competitive season.

Designed primarily as a collaborative practice environment, this scrimmage allows students to put their STEM knowledge and engineering concepts into hands-on practice. Teams will put their custom-built VEX V5 robots onto the official field to trial game strategies, fine-tune mechanical mechanisms, and optimize driver control and autonomous programming under real match conditions. Beyond testing robot performance, the event gives students invaluable opportunities to observe alternative design approaches, learn from fellow peers, and strengthen alliance communication and problem-solving skills in a low-pressure setting.

Throughout the day, participating teams will gain significant field time, valuable match feedback, and practical insight to help refine their technical builds for future official competitions. Whether your team is testing a brand-new prototype or polishing an established design, this scrimmage offers a supportive, learning-focused environment for all participants. We welcome all mentors, students, and supporters to join us at T.W.G.Hs. Chang Ming Thien College for a day of hands-on learning, teamwork, and engineering exploration!

Consent Form

Teams must submit consent forms for all attendees, including but not limited to coaches, students, and parents, before the Registration Deadline. Failure to do so will result in the team being moved to the waitlist, and no refund of the registration fee will be provided. These forms cover important topics such as safety, liability, image rights, and eligibility. As parental consent is required, please ensure all forms are submitted in advance. Teams that do not submit the required forms will not be allowed to participate.

作為一個以學習與實踐為核心的練習賽，本活動致力為學生打造一個發揮 STEM 知識的理想環境。參賽隊伍能將親手設計與組裝的 VEX V5 機器人帶到官方賽場上，在真實的比賽模式下進行戰術測試、調整機械結構，以及優化手動操作與自動程式的運作。除了檢視機器人性能外，學生更可藉此機會觀摩其他隊伍的設計思維、相互切磋交流，並在輕鬆無壓力的氛圍下提升跨校聯賽溝通與臨場應變能力。

在全日賽程中，各隊將獲得充分的落地練習時間與實戰反饋，為未來的正式賽事打下堅實基礎。無論是希望測試全新原型機的隊伍，還是打算優化現有設計的參賽者，本練習賽都將帶來豐富的學習收穫。我們熱切歡迎各校師生親臨東華三院張明添中學，一同透過實踐探索工程樂趣！

同意書

隊伍必須在報名截止日期前，為所有出席人士（包括但不限於教練、學生及家長）提交同意書。未能按時提交者，隊伍將被移至候補名單，且報名費用將不予退還。這些表格涵蓋安全、責任、肖像權及參賽資格等重要事項。由於需要家長同意，請提前確保所有表格已提交。未提交所需表格的隊伍將不得參加賽事。

Judging Format Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
