Welcome to the 26-27 Mahoning Valley VEX V5 Robotics Competition League! This league is open to all schools in the Mahoning Valley. This league will have 3 qualification evenings, which will run on selected dates during the week. A fourth day of qualifications will be held on the same day as the league final. Spectators are permitted and encouraged at all events, and all events will be streamed live on the VEX V5 7882 YouTube channel. The minimal fee to join the league is intended to cover the cost of the trophies. Teams are responsible for providing their own food/snacks during league evening events. A buffet lunch will be provided at the league final at a per-person cost to be determined later in the season. Events are to be held at MCCTC (unless registered schools would like to host at their venue- tbd).

Tuesday, January 12- Qualification Night #3- Theme: Superhero
Monday, February 8- Qualification Night #4 and League Final, and Banquet- Theme: School Pride
All league qualification rounds will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The league final will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All matches will be played in the in the LEAD Center at MCCTC, with the exception of the scrimmage, which will take place in the Engineering lab.
Judging Format
Judging Format All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
Volunteer
Volunteer Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. Contact Walter or Rachael for more information. Also, please keep in mind that these tournaments are run by volunteers and that they are donating their time to help your teams grow. Please have patience with them, as they will more than likely make a mistake or two.
Emergency/Bad-Weather Policy
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy Coaches and volunteers will be notified in the event of a snow day to determine makeup dates.
