General Info
Granada Hills Charter is delighted to host Rumble in the Desert 2026, a VEX V5 Robotics Competition Override Tournament. The event will be open to 36 teams from both Middle and High schools. Winning specific awards at this event will qualify teams to attend a California Region 4 State Championship.
There will be two competition fields, a Skills Challenge field, and full practice field at the event. Both Driving and Programming Skills Challenges are open to all registered teams.
This event will be limited to four teams per school/organization. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register. This waiting list will also be available for you to sign up a fifth team, but precedence will be given to schools/organizations who are not yet registered. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Event Partner, Niko Gevorgian, at [email protected] or Douglas King, at [email protected] and CC our team through [email protected].
On-site parking is free, and there are numerous dining options in the area for lunch and snacks. However, teams should be aware that lunch is only 60 minutes long, which leaves limited time to explore these dining options once the first half of the matches have concluded. We will be selling cash-only concessions all day at the event.
