ADSB Robotics welcomes teams to Sault Ste. Marie for the 2026–27 VEX V5 Robotics Competition: Override.

Our event brings students together to demonstrate their engineering, programming, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, while connecting with other robotics teams from across Northern Ontario.

Planned dates: Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12, 2026
Venue: Boreal French Immersion Public School, 232 Northern Avenue East, Sault Ste. Marie, ON

Please note: Judging interviews may begin Friday evening and will continue Saturday.
Teams arriving Saturday morning will have an opportunity to complete their interview. A judging schedule and arrival instructions will be shared closer to the event.

Friday evening will provide time for team arrival, pit setup, and robot inspections. The main competition will take place Saturday.

Marie, Ontario at: Boreal French Immersion Public School 232 Northern Avenue East Parking, bus drop-off, and building-entry instructions will be posted here closer to the event. Please allow additional travel time for winter conditions. Teams arriving Saturday morning will be accommodated for inspections and judging interviews; please advise the Event Partner of your arrival plans.

Judging Format

Judging Format Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews Team interviews will be conducted in person at the event. Interviews may begin Friday evening and will continue Saturday. Teams arriving Saturday morning will have an opportunity to complete their interview. Engineering Notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation through the link in the team contact’s “My Account” panel in VEX Events. Notebook submission deadline: Tuesday, December 8, 2026

Volunteer We welcome volunteers to help with judging, refereeing, inspections, team check-in, queuing, field reset, and event support. For volunteer opportunities, please contact Mark Carlucci at mark@adsbvexrobotics.com . Preparation information and any required training will be provided for your assigned role.

Registered team contacts will be notified by email, and this event page will be updated. Please keep your contact information current in VEX Events and check for updates before travelling. Teams must follow their school or organization’s travel decisions and notify the Event Partner promptly if they cannot attend.
