VEX V5 Robotics Competition – Blended
Robótica Extrema Signature Event – VEX V5 Robotics Competition Blended reunirá en Medellín, Colombia, a equipos Middle School y High School nacionales e internacionales para vivir dos jornadas de competencia, ingeniería, programación, estrategia y trabajo en equipo.
La competencia se realizará los días 18 y 19 de febrero de 2027 en la Universidad EIA, Medellín, Colombia.
Durante el evento, los equipos competirán en el desafío oficial de la temporada 2026–2027, de acuerdo con los reglamentos de VEX Robotics y las políticas establecidas por la Global Robotics & Science Foundation (GRSF).
El evento está abierto a equipos de Colombia y otros países, ofreciendo la oportunidad de competir, compartir experiencias y conectarse con la comunidad internacional VEX. Actualmente, ciudadanos de 99 países pueden ingresar a Colombia para estancias de corta duración sin visa, únicamente con pasaporte vigente. Recomendamos a los equipos internacionales verificar los requisitos de ingreso según su nacionalidad en el sitio oficial de la Cancillería de Colombia:
Elegibilidad de los equipos
Podrán participar equipos que cumplan con los siguientes requisitos:
Estar registrados en VEX Events en la categoría VEX V5 Robotics Competition – Middle School o High School.
Cumplir con los requisitos de edad establecidos para su categoría: los equipos Middle School deberán estar conformados por estudiantes nacidos después del 1 de mayo de 2011 (15 años o menos durante el VEX Robotics World Championship 2027), mientras que los equipos High School podrán estar conformados por estudiantes elegibles nacidos después del 1 de mayo de 2007. Los estudiantes elegibles como Middle School también podrán competir en la categoría High School.
Los equipos podrán representar instituciones educativas, clubes de robótica, organizaciones comunitarias o grupos familiares (homeschool), siempre que los estudiantes cumplan con los requisitos de edad y elegibilidad establecidos por la GRSF.
Todos los participantes deberán estar escolarizados durante la temporada 2026–2027.

Los equipos deberán cumplir con el Game Manual, los reglamentos oficiales de VEX Robotics y las políticas vigentes de la Global Robotics & Science Foundation (GRSF).
Toda la información oficial y las actualizaciones del evento serán publicadas en VEX Events. Se recomienda revisar periódicamente esta página y el correo electrónico registrado por el equipo.
El cronograma, las recomendaciones para los equipos y demás información técnica y logística serán publicados oportunamente antes del evento.
Para facilitar la planeación del viaje, compartiremos información sobre hoteles recomendados, transporte desde el aeropuerto y desplazamientos en Medellín.
El principal aeropuerto internacional que sirve a Medellín es el Aeropuerto Internacional José María Córdova (MDE).
Los equipos internacionales que requieran una carta oficial de participación o invitación para sus trámites de viaje o visa podrán solicitarla al Comité Organizador.

VEX V5 Robotics Competition – Blended
The Robótica Extrema Signature Event – VEX V5 Robotics Competition Blended will bring together national and international Middle School and High School teams in Medellín, Colombia, for two days of competition, engineering, programming, strategy, and teamwork.
The competition will take place on February 18–19, 2027, at Universidad EIA in Medellín, Colombia.
During the event, teams will compete in the official 2026–2027 season challenge, in accordance with VEX Robotics rules and the policies established by the Global Robotics & Science Foundation (GRSF).
The event is open to teams from Colombia and other countries, offering the opportunity to compete, share experiences, and connect with the international VEX community. Currently, citizens of 99 countries can enter Colombia for short stays without a visa, with only a valid passport. We recommend that international teams verify entry requirements based on their nationality on the official website of the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cancillería de Colombia):

Team Eligibility
Teams must meet the following requirements to participate:
- Be registered in VEX Events in the VEX V5 Robotics Competition – Middle School or High School category.
- Meet the age requirements established for their category: Middle School teams must consist of students born after May 1, 2011 (15 years old or younger at the 2027 VEX Robotics World Championship), while High School teams may consist of eligible students born after May 1, 2007. Students who are eligible for Middle School may also compete in the High School category.
- Teams may represent educational institutions, robotics clubs, community organizations, or homeschool groups, provided that students meet the age and eligibility requirements established by the GRSF.
- All participants must be enrolled in school during the 2026–2027 season.
Important Information
- Teams must comply with the Game Manual, official VEX Robotics rules, and current Global Robotics & Science Foundation (GRSF) policies.
- All official event information and updates will be published on VEX Events. Teams are encouraged to regularly check the event page and the email address associated with their registration.
- The event schedule, team recommendations, and additional technical and logistical information will be published prior to the event.
- To help teams plan their trip, we will share information about recommended hotels, transportation from the airport, and getting around Medellín.
- The main international airport serving Medellín is José María Córdova International Airport (MDE).
- International teams that require an official participation or invitation letter for travel or visa purposes may request one from the Organizing Committee.

Judging Format All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. Emergency/Bad Weather Policy La seguridad de los participantes, voluntarios y asistentes es nuestra prioridad. En caso de presentarse una emergencia, condiciones climáticas adversas u otra situación que pueda afectar el normal desarrollo del evento, el Comité Organizador podrá modificar el cronograma, suspender temporalmente las actividades, reprogramar o cancelar el evento, según las circunstancias. Cualquier decisión será comunicada oportunamente a los equipos registrados a través del correo electrónico registrado en VEX Events y, cuando sea posible, mediante los canales oficiales del evento. Durante una emergencia, todos los participantes deberán seguir las instrucciones del Comité Organizador y del personal de la sede anfitriona, utilizando las rutas de evacuación y los protocolos de seguridad establecidos por la institución.
